How do I donate cakes or desserts for the Cake Wheel and Country Store?

Desserts for the Cake Wheel and Country store need to be dropped off at the appropriate booth on the day of the festival. Make sure that you do not need the container back. Use disposable tin pans for cakes and brownies or paper plates wrapped in saran wrap for cookies and goodies (or something similar).

Food?

On the Thursday before the festival (It is on Sunday) we start to prepare the food for the festival. We plan on feeding just over 3000 people a traditional Turkey dinner of turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy. All of the food is prepared and cooked (except the turkey) by volunteers. On the morning of the festival starting at 2:00 AM, a group gets together at the school on starts cooking. All of the food is ready to eat by 10:00 AM and we start serving at 10:30. there are several ways to help...

1. Food Prep (Thursday, Friday, Saturday morning and/or Sunday morning (2:00 AM))
2. Inside Serving Line - Volunteers line the food containers and fill the plates of the patrons with turkey, dressing, etc at the Community Center.
3. Plates to Go Inside - Volunteers line the food containers and fill plates to go for the drive-thru patrons at the Community Center.
